I live in a country that wraps it citizens in freakin cotton wool - I can not obtain either Tincture of Iodine nor iodine crystals - my question - canyou make crystals from betadine to be used in meth recipes? if do how? Also i have obtained a bottle of 'old timers' R-iodine - its active constituents - each ml contains 2mg IODINE ang 70mg Methyl Salicylate in Paraffin liquid -could i make crystals out of this suitable for the meth recipe? if so how?

Yes, but there are much easier way (pottasium iodide).

KI is actually a great way, and easy to do over the counter in any quantity one desires, with NO suspicion.


Sure you might get a strange look buying 300 pounds of salt, but they sure as fuck won't have a clue what you are doing with it.



As for your question OP, find a chemical for a use, not a use for a chemical.


Do not cut corners and try to do things the "easy" way, you will only fritter away time and money.

KI+H202+H2SO4= iodine

Sublime it and condensate it and there you go some nice pure iodine. You could also do the same thing but with bromine water and KI, which is nice because the Iodine forms big "lumps" at the bottom of the test tube/flask ;)

ah and KI can be found at the pharmacy btw.
