Hi guy...swim has access to about a metric ton of phallaris in less than one week....of very good quality...he was wondering if anyone here has tried extraction using ethanol... evaporate with low heat to a gummy residu.... than extraction is followed as usually with mimosa hostilis??

Any special comment/perfection about this method??(then polar cleaning of alcaloide is understand as a basic principe of course with Phalaris grass;)

Can't say I ever have, or have ever heard of anything being done on that scale, but would be very interested to hear the results.

Will you be freezing or macerating the grass in order to break down the cell structure at all? I hear that improves the quantity of alkaloids that can be pulled with a polar solvent.

Its also gonna need a lot of EtOH for a tonne of phalaris!

It is possible to do this, i have worked with phalaris but in smaller amounts then you speak off, let me tell you: It is full of unwanted shit! But as seeing that you can get in bulk (presume from your location) and free then go for it!
Freezing the crap out of it has helped me as Von Bass states. Your going to have to do multiple extraction and defat tho', there is a lot of unwanted materials. Multiple cleaning and crystallisaition are your best bet!

But i have not tried the extraction with ethanol you speak off, care to link me to where you read that? (Doesn't sound too good to be working with a tar and sticky residue to me :()

Evolution is a funny thing...doesn't always go in the way one might expect....

As I understand it, a lot of the people here used to lurk in "the good old days" in the hope that there might be the odd post which was not about how to clean up some variety of pills so you could make a pile of meth in a shed, or something of the ilk.

Now that this is the case, the lurkers can come out of hiding and discuss slightly more interesting stuff, while having (vaguely) intelligent discussion with regards to the odd meth thread that does come up.

The real problem, as you have noted elsewhere, is the growth in the numbers of kidiots wittering on about utter shite - something I think we could all do without...

You talk about making the cleanest shit possible, if that was REALLY what you wanted, you would take the time to learn the book work, and that right there friend is why I don't like dope cooks. They are in it for the money and for the high, as in, they don't give a shit how clean it is, or how it gets in em, as long as they fucking get high.

That's what I hate. People who are so "addicted" that they are willing to throw together what is to them, a bunch of random ass chemicals and approach it like baking a cake, when in reality, lol, we ain't bakin no fucking cakes. Learning the bookwork, and the how and why of things gives you the ability to problem solve on the go, make substitutions, synthesize things you can't find, or can't get.


Doing the book work is damn near a magic fucking key. Once you gain a greater understanding of JUST how fucking easy damn near any of this is to do, then the world is your oyster.


No more struggling with lava lamps, questioning emulsions, following "recipe" pill extractions which are totally unreliable what with uncle sams habit of allowing gakks to be put in, but not listed, the list goes on and on man.


Knowing the chemistry allows you to formulate your own pill extractions, based specifically on the pill you have, learning chromatography allows you to see the purity of your extracted goodies, as well as tell the purity of your final yield, among its countless other uses in the "drug culture".



I could go on all day on why a "dope cook" would, no really SHOULD learn chemistry, but you get the idea.

but hey, if your talking a ton of dry phalaris if its .5% 5-MeO-DMT/N,N-DMT theres about 4.5 kilos of alkaloids in that grass... granted alkaloid levels range between almost nothing to 1.2%...

if you managed to do a good alcohol extraction and evaporated it off you would be left with a more manageable weight to further clean up...

and your thinking about evaporating the alcohol off over low heat? better have some damn good ventilation, and not have that shit evaporating over a flame... Where do you plan to evaporate this much ethanol off? jesus for a metric ton its probably going to take a couple hundred gallons...

And so? I have seen a few hundred Wild san pedro cactus, or sassafras ibidium trees by the hundred! It is very possible, the limit is scaled by the solvent amount, dealing with 50 L of solvent is barely manageable :s
