So here is the scenario: Youre driving along with a bag with an ounce and a bag with a gram and you get pulled over. There is no place in the car to stash the ounce so you throw it under the passenger seat, and you simply sit on the bag with a gram. The car reeks of weed, so when the cop comes to your car he tells you he's going to search the vehicle. So you get out, leaving the smaller bag in plain sight on the drivers seat and obviously the cops sees it.

This is my question: Is it likely that the cop would continue to search the rest of the vehicle after finding the small sack on the seat?

You better fucking believe they would continue to search. Prepare for them to damn near dismantle your car in the hopes they find something more to nail you with.
