Anyone ever been? Just how hot is it?

I want to go to the Amazon because I like the jungle and monkeys, I want to know the climate, what are some good cities to see, what are other good sights, and I'm planning to go this fall.

I went on a fishing trip to the Amazon a while back in Brazil. It's humid and hot as balls and you feel drenched all day and there are a million fucking bugs that bite the shit out of you so you're covered head to toe in bug spray. Other than that, that place is fucking crazy.

Srsly though...the Amazon is one of the places that definitely ISN'T on my to do list
