View Full Version : Anyone else sport facial hair?

Or do you go for the clean-shaven look?

I've been sporting a full beard for a month or two now and quite enjoy it.

I'm 17 and right now I doubt I could pull anything off. I usually shave to keep it smooth and avoid the too lazy to shave look. Ya, the only thing I could probably do is sideburns...but with redish brown hair, it wouldn't really work.

And then I could look like a douche and dirtlip the rest of it. But I keep it shaved.

I'm 17, been shaving properly for about.. A year? For a long time up until now, it's been clean shaven, but just recently I've decided to keep a little.. I'm not sure what you'd call it. Neck hair's gone, with a little hair along the jawline and chin.

I tend to sport the 'ah man, I slept for 4 hours, its 7am and I don't feel like holding something sharp to my neck'

I prefer the clean shaven look...But since I've been slumming it lately, I'll go a week without shaving...Simply can't be arsed sometimes.

Been shaving since I was 15 byut it was just fluff then. Had proper stubble and hair from about 16 ish. Pain in the ass shaving everyday but I tend to enjoy having a beard so it's alright.

Got a chinstrap type thing going on at the moment. Only takes about 3 weeks for me to grow a nice, thick full beard so I play about with it a lot.

Quit my old job on the 4th of July and since then haven't had anyone bitching at me to shave, so I've only done it once, with a pair of scissors, just to even things up.

I still can't grow anything past ridiculous upper lip and chin fluff at age 16, so I'm stuck with that.

I fucking owned my cousin, he is so sad. He is 22 and is still not even close to growing a full beard, he is 3/4. I however, and 3/8 Asian and am close to getting my full beard. In a few months I will be able to make fun of him, sporting my full beard. I will make him kneel down and suck my cock as I piss in his face.

You're horrible at telling stories. You never said why he would get "owned," is it because you're younger than him and already growing a beard? If that's the case you never told us your age.

hmm, it'll be two years this fall that i've had a beard. i went a few days without shaving back in high school, my girlfriend noticed how much stubble i produced and suggested i grow a beard, so i did. everybody seemed to like it. i had a full beard for a long time but then a few months back i decided to trim it down so it only goes along the jaw line and then the whole goatee thing. like the one in the bottom left corner, but not as skinny:

it was rather hard to find a picture of that for some reason...

That should be obvious.

It's obvious there's an age difference, but the actual difference is what matters. You could be 20 which would make the whole situation very menial.

A friendly observation and suggestion....

just because you are able to grow facial hair, does not mean necessarily that you should have it. i have a friend who has a disgusting looking goatee that doesn't connect or fully come in. it looks like he trimmed his pubes and glued them to his face. just something to take into consideration, because it looks extremely bad.

that being said... i occasionally grow out my sideburns a little bit, but for the most part i stay clean... never go more than 2, once in awhile 3 days without shaving but the itchyness kills me.

I just keep a patch at the bottom of my chin, Kind of Shaggy-ish. I've tried for a mustache a few times but get frustrated at how long it takes and my girlfriend doesn't support the itcheyness of my upper lip.

Star Wars Fan is black IIRC, and why can you assume that I'm a let down. I don't know how old you are but I'm sure I've done more with my life than you have done with yours assuming we're the same age.

I've made sense, and you don't get it, I doubt you will. You keep doing it, the way you make juvenile comments, That's all pride which as you stated but probably don't understand is unbecoming. You try to mask your own pride by trying to point out others flaws. The fact is, you're just an arrogant and ignorant high school cunt who doesn't know any better. Our conversation ends here, I don't feel you have the brains to carry it on. Good luck with puberty.

so much hostility in this thread....

anyways I've never really grown full facial hair even at 20 years old I can really just get a thick stubble action going on if I don't shave for weeks, but I prefer to be clean shaven most days because it just looks fly, especially with longer hair.

I don't sport any hair. I shave every 2-3 days (shaving with the grain) so you can always see a 5 o'clock shadow to 2-3 days growth. I hate leaving it longer because it's such a pain to shave long hair.

Also, the hair where my mustache meets up with my beard is not as thick as the rest. I'm hoping this gets solved soon.

Yeah, I think on the whole, more women like a clean-shaven guy anyhow. I do know a few women who like beards though. Guys respect beardage a whole lot more though, at least, that's what I think.

I'm usually clean-shaven, but I've got a bet going with a friend to see who can go the longest without shaving/getting a haircut. The stake is $350, so there's no way in hell I'm losing, no matter how bad I look.

On that note, for your enjoyment...

I pretty much ditched the razor for a beard trimmer some time ago. I shave when I have to, but just trimming it at the shortest setting leaves me with the stubble that I'm told I look good with. And it takes about a third the time.
