Lets say I was going to retire, and I had, 100,000 dollars. How far would that get me in a place, such as....India?

Basically, I want to know a place that I can retire and left comfortably for a lengthy amount of time (around 30+ years)

Bolivia. You can live on about $3-$5 a day. Less if you want to be cheap. At first you will pay 'gringo' prices, but if you stay a few years every one will know you and you'll get shit cheaper.

Warlord, slaveowner, landed elite, ex-pat, it's all the same to the rest of the world.

I don't believe there is any country where you can live COMFORTABLY with 100.000 dollars for 30+ years. just living on the downlow maybe...but not comfortably, I am quite sure.

Comfy for me isn't like comfy for most people. I'm satisfied with the little things, my expenses daily would be a few necessary ones like securing a home, buying a bed, etc, and after that aside from bills I probably wouldn't buy much more than food and a cup of coffee in the morning. If possible, I could set up some kind of business and live off whatever kind of money I have and what that brings in. Maybe start a small farm, grow my own food.
