My friend was shaking a soccer goal at a school one night with one other person there and the top of the soccer goal was not connected right and it slid off and cut off one of his fingers. This threw him into debt. Can he sue? it was nighttime when he was out there.

ok didnt know this exsisted thanks tho
It'd probably be simpler for him to just pay his bills.
Somehow, I don't think that the school can be held liable for his attempted vandalism. If it truly wasn't assembled properly, you still have to prove it, so good luck with that. It's far more likely that your friend is a moron who was doing something he shouldn't have been doing, and the local law agencies will see it the same way.
The sad thing is that yeah, in some places he probably *could* sue *and* be successful in his lawsuit.
So yeah, while him winning such a lawsuit would be absolute bullshit, he can always find some shark lawyer to give it a shot.
