Okay here is something really cool you can do for fun, or to impress your friends or whatever.
1. build a volcano out of whatever. paper mache and acrylic paint or something.
2. make sure there is a hole in the top of the volcano like 10 inches long.
3. paint it so it looks more realistic and you can impress people even more!
4. put baking soda in the hole that you just made in it.
5. let the baking soda sit at the bottom
6. invite your friends over and the best looking girls/guys you know depending on your gender.
7. have chairs ready for everyone to sit down while you get ready to blow their minds. LMAO!!!
8. tell them to watch as you magically make the volcano errupt. (It's not actually magic im going to tell you how it works in a second).
9. get some VINEGAR and POUR it into the hole.
10. Oh and now you've got your ERUPTING VOLCANO!!!
ps. also you can add orange or red food colouring to the vinegar to make the bubbles a different colour. ;)
Oh yeah, the reason it works is, once the baking soda (base) makes contact with the vinegar (acid) what is known as a CHEMICAL REACTION takes place. this causes what you see when it all bubbles up.
Enjoy :)!
