They'll pick up some other story to fear-monger in a week or so, and nobody will remember it (but good luck getting a job). HEs will obviously result in more serious charges than BP and the like. If you are under 18 you might get lucky, but otherwise, be prepared to have the book thrown at you. I don't know what the specific charges would be (probably something along the lines of manufacturing explosives w/o a permit, etc), but you'd be pretty fucked.

I got busted with a device pre 9/11 and the charge actually fell through the cracks. I went for my "probation" hearing, since I was underage, and the only charges were minor intoxication and curfew violation. I ended up getting 6 months informal probation, which I promptly skipped out on. Left the state. Never had a problem since then, and it's been about a decade.


As for the device, I am too ashamed to even describe it. Let's just say it was kewl as fuck, and I am lucky I got busted before I set it off, or I wouldn't be typing this with so many fingers.

Long story short he had been running around naked, spraying people with a fire extinguisher and had then tried to light it right in the middle of the busy main arena in broad daylight. He has then told the security that I had made it for him and had told him to go and do it. Needless to say the security actually believed me when I said I had nothing to do with it despite having pupils like saucers and chewing my face off. They also wanted at £60 bribe to let him go and not hand this over to the police for further investigation/possible terrorism/explosive charges but I left the cunt to rot there, few months later he was thrown in prison for being a pedo.
