View Full Version : What's your schedule like?
I looked for a thread like this before I posted but was unable to find one. If one exists, either merge it with this one or live with it :p
So I know a lot of people are about to start school again and may have already gotten your schedule. If you have, post it here. You might want to consider removing the times and/or location before posting (as to prevent stalkerism).

Going into business?
Yeah, Accounting and finance. This is my fourth year and I'll be done by next summer.
Do you go to OSU? I got accepted in there and got a pretty good scholarship from my out of state residence + SAT scores, but my rents didn't want me to go that far, so I ended up going to Pitt.
Yet, I really don't miss Finance and Quantitative Business Analysis
This is my second time taking quantitative business. The first time I took it, I failed it completely (not going to class/handing in homework), but since then I have changed schools. I don't remember anything at all from that class, I just trying to make tables in Excel that never worked out the way it should be.
M: CAD/FEM (Morning)
T: Britain 1815-1914, Deterministic Methods in OR (Afternoon), Statics and Mechanics of Materials (Evening)
W: CAD/FEM (Morning), Intro to EE (Evening)
T: Britain 1815-1914, Deterministic Methods in OR (Afternoon), Petroleum Reservoir Engineering (Evening)
F: CAD/FEM (Afternoon)

I also go to Pitt
My parents live in columbus and I grew up there. I did some post-secondary stuff at OSU when I was in high school but opted for a different school for my 4 years.
This is my second time taking quantitative business.
My best advice is to invest in a graphing calculator, if you don't have one. Also, learn where to apply the different formulas, not simply the formulas. Lots of people fail that class; good luck.

hehe, i know where you go. oddly enough for reasons you mentioned in the first post.
i've got russian 101 and two criminology classes coming up in the fall. oh and something to get certifed in first aid by the red cross. but i'm not sure if i should bother taking that, or just see if i can fit another real class into my schedule instead.
Being certified by Red Cross is always a good idea; if you're still interested in being a police officer, then it's necessary. The more familiar you are with first aid, the better. :)

Except biology discussion will go into that little gap on Thursday mornings so that everything is relatively even.

Doubtful, I changed most of the course names so that people wouldn't be able to do what you tried to do. Regardless, I'll remind you that it's still considered personal information.

yeah yeah, i know. big bad zok don't want no one knowing nothing about him no ways. not like anyone could find anything out about a "Zok" at said school anyway.
i got a friend from high school who just started there. maybe you'll see her around in the distance, background, etc. maybe you'll meet, fall in love, get married, and we'll meet at the wedding without knowing our online identities and become the best of friends and on your death bed you'll tell me a story about totse and i'll be like OMFG THAT'S YOU??? and we'll cry. yeah.
euda, yeah that was my reasoning behind taking the first aid class. i believe that will also include CPR certification but i'm not sure because they have another class for just that. something to put on my rather blank resume.
First Aid certification by Red Cross is CPR; though there are different levels. Does it include AED training?
It'll look good on your resume.

Kinda got fucked over on a couple classes, my spanish teacher is supposed to be an idiot, and my chem teacher is supposed to be a total asshole. My history teacher is the best in the state though.

Fuck my life. The only good thing is I've got friday off and thursday at 9:30 when class is done is the perfect time to go to the pub.
Thankfully all the tutorials are built into the lectures, but the 3-4 and 6 hour breaks are gonna be killer.
Hopefully there's not a lot of homework, but for at least one 8am class I can miss a maximum of 1 lecture. Waking up at 6am is gonna blow, and greatly fuck with my weed naps.
I'm looking forward to the calculus course most of all. Hard to believe but a lot of my courses are bullshit and it's nice to get a black and white math course. Finance should be fun too.

The American Chemical Society has its annual convention in my state this year so I'll be attending that for credit as well. I'm an academic masochist.
Monday:
History, Britain: Modern Era - 1900-Present, Lecture Format, 12-3pm, 1st year [GPA Booster]
Tuesday:
History, India: Post-Independence Punjab & Diaspora, Seminar Format, 5-930pm, 4th year
Thursday:
History, South American-American Relations, 19th and 20th Century, Lecture Format, 1-5pm, 3rd year
History, USA: 1865-Present, Seminar Format, 5pm-930pm, 3rd year.
You can probably guess my major. (I dealt with most of my prerequisites and breadth requirements early on. I prefer the giant blocks to smaller ones as this way I have large chunks of free time for homework and my own amusement.
