Myself and a friend are thinking about pirating a CB channel and broadcasting live/pre-recorded sessions on a regular basis. Any suggestions, warnings about the FCC, general input on any level...?

i had the same idea, and it would work but

1. you'd need a powerful transmitter to get a good listening area
2. you'd piss off truckers so make sure you use a channel not used a lot, and don't use channel 9 or something it's the emergency channel
3. if you did it long enough from the same spot (realistically like a year or more i guess) the FCC might locate you, or mabye even amateur people with too much time on their hands
4. nah it'd be cool as long as your intended audience all has CB radios.

what i seriously considered was buying a moddable tx radio, even a handheld one, and modding it so it could broadcast on FM. then just use it like a cheap, ghetto FM transmitter. if you were serious you can go on ebay and buy real transmitters.
