This movie has an unusual references to Sumerian culture and worship.
the movie ends at 55 central , perhaps a reference to the number of elements where they must destroy an evil universe where there is a masonic pyramid and 2 obelisks.

it's hidden in the movie and has a lot of masonic references like "the keymaster" and "gatekeeper" .
they had a phone line in the 80's where you could call the ghostbusters, the number started with 555 another reference to the elements (earth, water, fire, air, spirit) but it was more occult than the movie itself because it was forcing people to unknowingly practice satanic rituals (dialing the number 5 three times in a row, a numerical value that has the ability tocall out more spirits (ghosts) into the world.).
this phone number received more than 1000 calls per hour and brought in millions of ghosts into the world. Ever wonder why ghost reports increased in the 90's?
Ironically when you did call the ghost busters in real life they claimed to be out catching ghosts, whilst the phone caller was preforming satanic ritual to bring about more ghosts

Dialing 555 calls spirits? How did they do it before phones existed? Did they use a telegraph? Did they use Morse code?
Fail.

obviously it would be 5 beeps, or whatever 5 is for the telegraph. The numerical value is important to the users conscious.
