Well I went to a family friends birthday party (full of older folk, it was her 50th birthday party) and they had hired a magician (the same one they hired about 10 or so years ago for a childrens birthday party when i was a kid) and he is pretty good. He performed some really good tricks but most of them I could work out or have some sort of reasoning on how he did it, he was really clever and quick with his hands.
But there was one trick he used as a finale which had me amazed and as smart, intellectual, intelligent, imaginative totseans I thought you guys might be able to help me figure it out.
He collected a few peoples wedding and decorative rings, about four of them, and mixed them up in his hand and then showed everyone how they were all linked together. Now just think of that trick where magicians have the big metal rings and bang them together and they somehow connect and link together like a chain. With those rings there must be some sort of breakage in the ring that quickly opens and shuts to let another hoop connect to it. But in this case it was tiny finger rings which could not have been rigged. Every one was amazed and I cant think of any possible way to do it unless it was a really clever illusion and the rings wernt actually connected but just stuck together like a magnet or something.
Any ideas?
