My friend is being charged with contributing to minors.
In Minnesota, Im pretty sure thats a felony. So they left the state and dont plan on going back and it sucks because Minnesota will extradite for a felony....

They just got a new job and were wondering if the warrrants will appear if the company runs a background check.

If they try and get a license in the state they are in now will the warrants show up?

What possible jail term would someone get for something of this nature? They have a lengthy record.

Tell him to turn himself in.

He will get caught if he tries to live a normal life. This stuff is all on computer databases now, they talk to eachother across state lines and they don't forget.

Contributing to the delinquency of a minor (I think that's what you mean) is nonviolent, so they might be able to plea it down to a misdemeanor, if it even is a felony.

I'm not a lawyer but I know that if your friend goes to an attorney and surrenders himself to the police, they will be a lot more receptive than if, and when, they catch him on the run.

Looks like it is a misdemeanor

contributing to the delinquency of a minor, under Minn. Stat. § 260B.425, subd. 1(a) (2004), which states that “[a]ny person who by act, word, or omission encourages, causes, or contributes to delinquency of a child or to a child’s status as a juvenile petty offender, is guilty of a gross misdemeanor.” Under this statute, the state is required to prove that: (1) the children were under 18 years of age; (2) the defendant by act, word, or omission encouraged, caused, or contributed to the need for protection services, delinquency of the children, or the status of the children as juvenile petty offenders; and (3) the defendant’s act took place at a particular time and location. 10 Minnesota Practice, CRIMJIG 13.100 (1999)
