I was driving down the highway in Pa. It was dark, a very dark and moonless night. The road was lonely and deserted. The exits were 10-14 miles apart and you felt very alone on this road. The road was also under construction a lot of it.
It was the kinda of road where you could easily crash and go off the road into the brush and the few cars that would travel this road would never even see you.

As I watched the shadow from my headlights on the construction barrels go by I notice every once in awhile a shadow that did not move. At first I thought it was late and my eyes were just playing tricks on me but then I saw it again and I look right at it until I past it. It was a dark shadow that did not move even though the shadows from the construction barrels moved across it.

I am not sure what it was just that it was something waiting, watching the road for what I do not know. I got an uneasy feeling. Like it was waiting for a soul to take. Waiting for someone to crash. That is the feeling I got.

I have had a few days to think about it and I wonder if it was indeed a demon waiting on a soul to take or a soul of somebody who had crashed there lost and unsure of what has happen to him or her.

this is possible.

it could also be an inarnation of the "fear of crashing/being lost" built up in that area.

thats the same reason i think people believe houses are haunted

PA highways bug me out. I halucinated a deer coming out of the woods and onto the road. Also one time I saw a "car" moving on a road that did not exist. Only in PA have I expierenced this shit.
