Regular version up top,TL/DR version at bottom.
We are all hanging out at a lake. My 2 friends who brought up some girl end up leaving her there. I offer to give people a ride home. My keys are missing, misplaced them. While looking for the keys there's only me,her, and my other friend there. He physically sees them while looking for the keys. Next minute,my GPS and mp3 player are gone. My friend's sister shows up to bring me my spare set,and I say "shut the shit down, nobody is leaving until I get my stuff back". We sit there and basically get threatening with her. Eventually she shows me where the GPS is,which is on the ground in the rain next to the lake. Thankfully that works. Then I said I want the mp3 player, which she swears she doesnt have. Then, after 5 hours of waiting, she eventually tells my friend's sister to look by the cars because that's where she tossed it. It being 5 in the morning,we can't see shit. Next morning,I get up there to see it laying on the ground and it's DOA from sitting in the rain all night. Basically, she was pissed at a friend of mine for leaving without her and destroys my shit as revenge because I was associated with him. What i'm asking is if this stupid bitch doesnt pay for my destroyed property (which I still have the receipt of as well),can I win at small claims court considering I have her admitting to someone and another person saying he physically held it to move it looking for the keys? The only problem is nobody saw her physically throw the shit because we were scrambling to find the keys to roll up the windows because it started pouring out.
TL/DR Version
It was raining out, couldnt find my car keys, vindictive person against a friend of mine throws my mp3 player into the rain because I take the wrath for being associated with this friend who ditched her,she admits it to another person there and another friend physically sees the stuff there before it went missing 5 minutes later. If she won't pay for a new one,can I do anything in small claims court?
