How are you liking your classes?
I'm enjoying mine; professors and classmates all seem pretty upbeat and positive. Communications class is always a fast favourite, since I enjoy presentations. :)

Its about 50/50 for me. The only ones I like are my Vampire class and my Germanic Myths class. Only because the topics are intersting. Since I'm a bio major, I have to take Bio 150 (intro level). My professor is a complete bitch. She seems a bit overexcited that many people will fail. She is also treating us like we are complete idiots, always saying, "This is college now," like we didn't know. Then my calc 1 class sucks too. Pretty much everyone in bio and calc are premeds, who think they are gods among men, when really, they are the stupidest people I've met. This is supposed to be the most academically talented class in the university's history. I have come to the conclusion that everyone is only smart on paper. I'm considering switching majors so I don't have to deal with these people. On the plus side, the chicks are really hot.
I go to Pitt if anyone is up here.

Heheh, Vampire class, eh? I'd love to take a class like that for some bullshit general requirement. Learn something new for a change, you know?
And the world doesn't revolve around your sumptuous ass, Euda. I don't start for another two weeks.
I've learned the defintion of college (at least for first year) is learning things you already know or didn't need to know.
Too much bullshit in organic chemistry; I find myself naming most of the compounds before the grad student leading the discussion does, and I can't be arsed to pay attention during the lectures because it's just a complete review of the last few weeks of general chem (and I can't go to sleep either because there are only 25 students in the course).
Biology is easy, everybody thinks it's hard, but they must not be science majors (or as one poster said, pre-meds). My discussion leader keeps going on and on about "procarrots" and "youcarrots".
Calculus is easy, though I should probably review it so that I can be intimate with my understanding of it and be able to deduce the formulae rather than memorize them.
Both history courses are easy discussions, though I might end up having to buy a book anyway. :(
OChem lab will be a pain in the ass.
I'm more focused on extracurricular events--getting my student organization off the ground, various political conferences that occur almost daily, and several political organizations I'm a part of. The education comes second I guess, but that's largely because I know almost everything there already.
I hate school and I want to shoot myself everyday I go. My professors are douche bags, my classes are extremely time consuming, and I don't have a job so I'm bored out of my mind when I'm not in school (I just quit my last one--in the process of looking for another one).
I can't say anything good about school/college -- I've always hated it and I always will-- that being said, I am glad I 'm in my last year of college (4th year) and besides the normal cycle of suicidal/homicidal thoughts that go through my mind from the hours of 10 am - 2 pm continuously, I would like finish my career off strong AND most importantly ensure I get a half decent job after college.

I don't think I've smoked enough pot to be in a class of mine, Modern Visual Culture. All this talk of re-presentation, constructivism, and semiotics screws my shit sideways.

My Linear Algebra teacher sounds like he's straight from France, he has the thickest French accent I've heard but he's still a pretty good teacher and it's math so it's not that big a deal. My Calculus teacher is fucking awesome, he doesn't take any shit from the retards in my class like people who leave their cells on (at least their ringers anyway) and people who ask just plain dumb questions and he knows his stuff. My school has two Programming classes and I was in the Intro but after talking to my teacher she said I should be the more advanced Accelerated course, and I haven't met my new Prof. yet. And I have this seminar course "Great Ideas in Computing" where the Prof seems like a nice guy but knows less than I do, but w/e.
Had all of my classes now, my new Comp Sci teacher is fairly young and a cool guy, definitely my favorite class.
Linear Algebra, calculus, my Miranda programming class, intro to C programming classes, and my music fundamental theory classes are all big jokes. It looks to be a very laid back year for me.

I like my classes so far. My schedule is gayer than nine guys fucking three guys. Five hours on MWF ftl.
My pharmaceutics lab is pretty neat though, as is my pharmacology class and my medicinal chem class. Biochem bores the fuck out of me, and pharmaceutical calculations and health system dynamics are both joke classes.
I also like how my teachers set it up so we don't have weeks with 5 exams in 3 days. The downside is that there is at least one exam in one of my classes every week until Christmas break.

My semester blows cocks.
I'm generally bored with all my courses; not the material, just the motions. I'm working two jobs as well as taking 5 courses so I'm busy. Orgo II is boring. Immunology is boring. Metabolism is boring, but I like the prof. Microbiology is a bird course with interesting labs. Ethics is boring, and the essays we read were written by people who are full of shit. I'm running cram classes for Calc I, the kids are fucking stupid, and the course is boring.
I'm trying to get into pharm school, will likely fail, and I have no idea what else I want to do.
At least I have pot.

All my courses (besides one) are just great. Awesome professors, awesome content. I did a great job with course selection this semester. There's always one rotten apple, though, and that would be Political Science -- the professor was clearly hired largely due to affirmative action; he is not fit to teach at a University level at all. Political Science is my favourite subject, too, so it's quite a downer. It should still be a fairly slack course, but I don't think I'll really learn much. Meh.
