I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a masonic handbook. I've searched the web like ebay and other places like that, you can't find them anywhere. This book was issued in 1932 (vintage :p), has every degree written in it, up to the 33rd degree(Even I'm not actually supposed to have it). It's a very rare book; this is the ultimate handbook that a mason receives; it's probably thicker than a bible. I'm selling it for symbolic purposes, as many of you know I'm a Freemason (was...you never really leave the fraternity but I want nothing to do with them). I'm not sure that I can sell it on ebay or other places like that, and I strongly don't want to do this due to possible repercussions so I decided to try here first. I'll provide some pictures etc to prove that A it is everything I'm saying it is, and B this is completely legit. In fact I'm thinking I've posted pics here before...all I've got access to right now is a crappy phone cam. But I'm just wondering if anyone would be interested in purchasing it. When you buy these things brand new they cost a few hundred dollars, but I'm not asking anywhere near that; I don't really need the money, but I can't just give it away either so...let me know if you're interested. Btw it's in perfect condition...there's no bent pages, no scuffs on it...it is in the same condition it was in 1932.
Edit: And I've already found an apparent buyer in IRC for $75 USD so, unless he falls through (which is a possibility), I've probably already got it sold. But I'll still ask here if anyone would possibly be interested.

It also has the york rite rituals, initiations etc in there. I've been reading the knights templar and it's various levels. It's radically different than anything I've ever practiced; nothing like what I'd have ever thought. Now I'd like to get into the order myself...I have the qualifications :D and there's a temple close.
I'd be willing to give you some money for it, but I'm not sure how we could make the transfer.
Anyway, if you really want to spite the fraternity why not make good quality scans of every page and post them on the Internet for everyone to read and enjoy, you could upload it to ThePirateBay or whatever. :)

Not gonna happen. In the event that I don't sell it, or do even I'm not going to destroy such a valuable book so that I can distribute it online. It's not that I don't particularly want to...but it's a very thick book and scanning it would most certainly damage the spine etc. Besides, I don't have the time to scan 2000 pages. :\

The guy in IRC was drunk and apparently bull shitting, but if anyone can find a fair way to do this I'll let it go for 50 but you pay shipping. If not, after reading the york rite section I really wouldn't mind keeping it, but I know most of the information in here like the back of my hand so meh...besides, I've got a newer ritual (only the first 3 degrees though...and that one costed me 200 bucks new lol)

You can just take high-resolution pictures of each page then. It's the only way to ensure the book survives forever!

It's got everything in it that you'd see in a masonic temple, a knight's Templar temple, order of Malta etc. It's got a lot of interesting shit in it, but it's a good investment just because the book it's self is worth much much more than 50 bucks. 500-1000 would probably be pretty conservative, a new book will run you 2000 and this is vintage :p. And, only a 33rd degree mason can even get this book (it's got all degrees including the 33rd that explains what that person would go through through all degrees in all rites). It's a nice chunk of history. It can really take you back through history, and despite the fact that the knight's Templar isn't a group of wealthy banker knights (I don't think :p) the rituals according to the book actually haven't changed (meeting wise). Very interesting reads. If you'd like to learn a lot of info about the organizations and have a vintage book on it, it's a good book to have. I just really don't want it anymore. Whenever I see the damn book or the symbol I get kinda pissed off .

No, they won't. Lol. People and their retarded beliefs about freemasons really make me lol...if you weren't trolling/being sarcastic.

Hmmm... This is an extremely interesting find, and it sounds like a pretty good deal. I'm very interested in this one. Is there any chance you could post a few more pictures, preferably with a better camera?
Also, what sort of payment would you accept? I've got a Paypal with money in it, but other than that, I don't really have a way.
This book looks awesome, and you're right: I can't find another one anywhere else.

For those interested in buying it, yeah I'll do that. I have no way locally of getting rid of it, ebay will remove it (I've tried), yeah I could do that. I've got a verified paypal account that you could send it to (that way you know I'm not bullshitting), yeah. I won't be on tonight tho so we can talk tomorrow if you're interested.

Sounds good. If possible, please send me some more pics. Also, you said this book is from 1932, correct? Do you know of any of the history of the book or what it's been doing for the past 3/4 of a century? How did you acquire it? I'm sorry if these are strange questions, but for something like this, I'm very interested in the history of the book, if there is much of a history at all.
If you'd rather not post things here, you can drop me a note at 100.percent.dude[*AT*]gmail.com. If you don't want to tell me how you acquired the book, that's fine too. I understand that it might be a sensitive matter.

I was thinking about buying it, but it looks like you already sold it.
So I asked Google:
http://www.freemasons-freemasonry.com/
Is This (http://www.freemasons-freemasonry.com/ward_MM_handbookfr.html)the book?
You said it was like 2000 pages, so I assume it contains all the books in this series if this is indeed the same series you're talking about.
That would be pretty cool to own the actual copy tho.

Nope, that's the book you get when you reach the 3rd degree; my book is what you get when you reach the 33rd. I haven't sold it either, if anyone wants it they can have it for 50 bucks.

I might be willing to pay $600
Seriously. PUT THIS ON THE INTERNET. The internet equals freedom and basically a place where something, once put, will NEVER leave. It's essentially immortality for information. The fucking NSA can't even get rid of something once it's been put on the web sometimes, because it's probably been spread around too much, downloaded and transferred to too many offline storage places. Something like this is very valuable and is something that would be great to have available to the general public, for historical reasons if nothing else. Hell, I'd buy it myself if I had more than $4 to my name at the moment.
