Very very very good and exciting anime. Very tense battle's with no typical good guy outcome's. Also there is no fine line between good and evil as in most other anime/manga. Like what Soul Society did to those poor Bounts, very mean.

Both anime lack character and plot development, drag unecessarily long and don't really make the most of what they're given.

The only anime I watch is Code Geass... now the list of manga I read is too extensive to list on here.

Overall, I find manga executed smoother and more precise. It's the way to go.

Luffy in One Piece didn't develop any different powers until late in the series in the Water 7 arc.

Until that point, he had been fighting with his surroundings and skills, not his overwhelming power. All fights in One Piece have a great tactic to them.

Now the most amazing shonen, fight complexity wise, is Hunter X Hunter. Togashi went way out of his way to develop a huge Nen system that cannot be violated and has set rules so no one character can just train and be stronger, IE DBZ, Bleach, Naruto.

The only training ever seen done in One Piece is by Zoro, mind you.

OMFG! They just stopped that Hueco Mundo series and started all over again with some child princess and a new captian. Like, ichigo defeated this bleu haired jaguar guy and he says: lets go to the others and leaves to that red head chick. Thats was lame. Like the others only just beat their enemies (some were even fighting still) and then the episode ends, the next episode is a totally different story.

I don't like it at all, that red head was forced to wear a hollow uniform and was psychologically raped. I would have loved for her to break apart and join aizen's faction. Somehow seeing her fight ichigo makes me feel content. They didn't really exploit the psychological story they began with her. It just ended in that lame way.

i originally didn't like bleach because of it's crappy filler and "lolz side adventure" shittery, same reason i generally dislike huge animes.

however, i was coaxed into watching bleach; and i can say that seasons which are the ACTUAL bleach episodes are awesome and fun to watch. the filler is not. this is why i have been waiting for this filler to end. same with one piece (at the point i'm at anyways).
