According to the popular urban legend chanting her name X amount of times (3, 5, 7) in a dark room into a mirror will summon her spirit. I've heard this from several people and read about it online. No one I know has actually done it.

I've heard of the bloody mary thing, I think that's bullshit. I haven't heard of the candy man though.

I assume that these things can work, because people are focusing on them and then the brain visualizes them, allowing you to make them out in the dark.

That last statement was pretty shitty, but here is something I used to do as a kid. Have a few friends sit in a circle while in the dark, everyone decides on the person/spirit they want to have show up. Repeat the name and then eventually opens their eyes. You will then see the entity, usually on one of your friends faces. We were calling forth entities such as the Terminator, Predator, Freddy Kruger.
