Hello all, I plan on visiting NYC, climbing a bridge, snapping some pictures, and not spending any more than I have to.

I just can't figure out where I'm gonna spend the night. Last time I went to NYC I had a friend's floor to crash on, but she has moved out of the city, so that's a no go.

I'd like to be dry, safe, and unrobbed when I get up - is central park an option? Any churches let you crash in them for the night (they used to, but when I was there they seemed to be all locked up outside of service hours). What do the cops do if they catch you sleeping in public?

If its needed I can look clean, presentable, moneyed, so perhaps there is a building I could pretend to have a job at?


Does anyone have any tips/ideas for me?

Reform one is pretty dcent if i remembe,r best to go with conservative or orthodox though. Generally good people and if they don't let you stay there, Someone nice will offer you their house.

I just used it for the first time to get a place to sleep for my 2 day stay in London. I found somebody after two days. A hot Lithuanian chick non the less.
Just make an account (this does take some time, but it's worth it) and start looking for couches.
