Do you guys think that when Abraham listened to "the angel of God" that told him to sacrifice his only son because if he did he would prosper and give birth to nations was an example of good Christian faith, or dumb blind faith.

Do you guys think that when Abraham listened to "the angel of God" that told him to sacrifice his only son because if he did he would prosper and give birth to nations was an example of good Christian faith, or dumb blind faith.

I take it allegorically to show how much faith abraham had. If I remeber right, God had made various promises previously that Isaac would survive. If you believe in this, then it follows that he had some good christian faith in God's word.

Mind you, haven't read it in a while, so I may be wrong.
