From the author that brought you shite such as Artemis Fowl, comes the newest installment of the HHGG trilogy! God help us all.
They're going to kill a classic...

 Indeed why can't they leave things alone??? Or atleast take up necrophilia.... ah i mean necromancey slight difference :P. But theres a voice at the back of my mind saying it will be good  theres about as much chance of that as Douglas Adams himself rising from the dead and going postal....
I agree with the choice of author. Eoin Colfer is a great fan of H2G2, he writes in a way that I like. I started reading Artemis Fowl when I started reading H2G2, and I've read some of his other books. However, he has to be very very careful. People love this book, and many people have already decided to hate his 6th book. It's a shame really, I welcome it, like I welcomed the three other Star Wars movies, as an addition to the original trilogy, but not exactly as a part of it. It says in the news that he will make sure that people know he wrote it, so it wont be released as a Douglas Adams book, so I think it'll work out.
I hope this will make more young people (Artemis Fowl readers) read H2G2, and make some of the older Douglas Adams fans reconsider the Artemis Fowl books, because they're really nice.
Anyone got any other ideas as for who should writte it? I'm thinking maybe Phillip Kerr, but it obviously needs to be a big fan, and I'm not sure if he is.
If the movie didn't kill it, then nothing can. :)

Most of the main characters ceased to exist in all realities. In the last bit of mostly harmless...

^^^Only in the book version. In the radio play, they managed to survive and they may try and work off that.
The H2G2 universe is pretty flexible.

I liked the first couple Artemis Fowl books but really think its not going to be up to standard...Douglas Adams was a awesome writer.

The H2G2 universe is pretty flexible.
They did manage to significantly alter reality on a multitude of ocassions...
We can only hope Eoin Colfer is up for it
