Hi.
As you all know by now, English is not my first language, and sometimes I need help with it.
For example, I don't know how to convey that I am during the course of my menstrual period in colloquial English. Do I say, "I am on my period"? Or do I say, "I just got my period", or do I say, "I just started my period"?
This is one of the many things that you have to grow up being a native speaker in order to pick up, because once you are past a certain age the people in your immediate environment simply don't talk about anymore. Such as in my case. By the time I came to Canada I was too old to be having this kind of conversation with girls my age and the only person I talk to about it is my mom, with whom I speak my native language, and this doesn't help.
So, help me please.

I'd refrain from using this one, as it sounds like you have your periods delivered to you via UPS.
