View Full Version : Snow Crash
I really enjoyed reading Snow Crash. Can anyone recommend any good books in the cyberpunk genre?
Neuromancer springs to mind.
I think I'm going to read Gravity's Rainbow sometime soon.

Yeah, Neuromancer. Also Burning Chrome is good, short stories and I think it's mostly cyberpunk. As an additional request does anyone know any good steampunk books?

Only Forward and The Diamond Age are both pretty good too.
The Difference Engine is kind of steam punk....

If you feel like reading about a foot of material, otherland might be worthwhile.
Hell yeah.
Read all Neal Stephenson's stuff. The Diamond Age, Cryptonomicon. He just came out with another: Anathem. I guess these would all be considered postcyberpunk... but meh. They're great. If you liked Snow Crash you'll like them as well.
I kind of want to reread Snow Crash. :)

Gravity's Rainbow is cyberpunk? My friend had it for his modern epic novel course. If I knew it was in this genre I would definitely have read it. I hope he still has it stashed away somewhere.

was a great book. Sorry, I don't have any other recommendations and I have benefited greatly from the prior suggestions in this thread.
