View Full Version : music dumbing us down
ok think when you here a catchy song and you find yourself uncontrollably humming or singing it.
now not only is this involuntarily as its been programmed and drummed into you much like mind control.
secondly this time spent singing, humming, tapping etc is diverting our attention from the real issues.
Think about it!

And yet, there's nothin' better for your soul
Than lyin' in the sun and listenin' to rock 'n roll!
Sunny days
Oh, sunny, sunny, sunny days
Ain't nothin' better in the world, you know
Than lyin' in the sun with your radio!
These lyrics to sunny days reveal the truth behind the music industry trying to control you through music. The song itself sounds innocent enough, but the lyrics are training listeners to always listen to the radio (brain washing media) , preferably in the sun , so they get dumber and more controllable.

exactly!
not only that, you might want to research sound frequencies and their effects on the brain. its beliieved that certain well-known music studios (used to produce many hits you have heard over the past 50 yrs) have used these techniques in their engineering and productions.

...and beer companies are secretly trying to control you with alcohol. Labels make shitty pop songs because they are catchy and most people like them. It is less about trying to make you dumb and more about making a single product that appeals to all. This means that stupid people will also like this pop music.
Plaaaay backwards,
Hear why its sung here, oppositioner..
Allll on track, all arriving
They all sing, and they are one.
Shall I loathe you now, parishoner?
Oh hear Him, Christian within me.
It stirs my sin; the river,
Oh, she swells with our lousiness.
All my life will end for him?
We're all out of signs,
I know I'm sorta shocked
To hear The Lord,
My God now will save me!
Oh I will n'er be saved,
Because I live with Satan..
One wish today;
That you'll all pray for
Three who will make it here late.
Pray now and you'll see..
The 'Lord' turned me on,
But, oh, I was the shaggy fool..
Clothed in agony,
Lost at a height.
There's no escaping it,
Nor his woes..
So here's to my Sweet Satan.
The other's little path
Would make me sad,
Whose power is faith.
He'll give those with him 666.
And all the evil fools,
they know he made
us suffer sadly.
Ohohohoh...
"Family won't get loose,
They're offered me."
Always soothes the worker.
Always will be as we know now
"I see ruins," said he,
"the world they offered me?
Who wished the Lord's fall?"
If we lose feather,
Say you'll save me!
And no wimps can bend the rules..
And no wimps can do..
Hunt next to the shore,
'Cause they see all from there,
See here's the news,
Who walks with mute grief!
Perhaps no-one found thee...
"Heavy, lift me out,"
Spake the Reve,
"Someday, failed, we'll lose one line-up,
They've gotta leave forsaken."
And no wimps can do..
And no wimps can do...
He, who say the lords
Thoth have our laws,
Maat must be superb. Mass is ended..
Over there,
He who should learn thee.
Any moot that serves by my sworn music,
I wish it with snow be shushed,
All for my mass's sake.
Hear why its sung,
here, oppositioner, Ohh..
He who should show
May make his show worthy,
To look, for us, odd.. sickly,
There's one chance - take his show.
Hold thy head,
Hear why its sung here. oppositioner.
Who owns this earth built below?
Oh sweet Israel...

I guess if you listen to dumb music, I personally listen to music that doesn't even have lyrics (electronic) so there is zero suggestibility but if you listen to poppy mainstream bullshit, then yes I do agree that is here to dumb you down

Is that even an argument to his point?
No, I don't think it is.

Well the thread title is "music dumbing us down".
Indeed.
And his main point seemed to be something along the lines of being brainwashed into humming, singing, etc when you could be focusing on far more important things, correct?
Surely you find yourself humming to your non-lyrical music?

I honestly don't, what I will do though is hear the song in my head and get the urge to listen to that song. In most cases, don't you usually hum, sing, etc while you are doing something else, along the lines of whistle while you work.

Yeah. Something as simplistic as humming or singing doesn't really distract me so much as to stop me doing whatever it is I'm doing.

I agree, but I really do think pop music is meant to dumb down and brainwash the youngins these days. Makes girls whores and guys wanna be gangsters

Meh, I'm not one for conspiracy theories. But "forced" bands such as Tragically Hip and Nsync lead me to believe otherwise. I suppose in that very same sense, your relatively unpopular(no offense) would be less likely to be tampered with than something that would reach a larger audience.

It's true. Also think about this.
Music back in the 1700's and 1800's was treated like a science, and there were many great composers who created masterpieces to those who know how to listen to music. Now all you have is rap and shit that is not music.
Society itself has been falling apart over time(western civilization) and music is just another example of the 2nd law of thermodynamics.

Pop music works in the same way as forced memes work.
Some of them are better than others and become fads for a short time. But after a while, they are all forgotten and nobody cares about them anymore.
The real good music doesn't rust with time.

It's just fucking music. We had composers then and we have composers now who craft beautiful music. It is YOUR choice who you want to listen to. Music is hear to relax our soul. Yea, some shitty bands do exist. Their sole purpose for existing is to create money. $$$$. Teens buy anything you throw in their face!
Music isn't good now and if you want to be real, some thought music wasn't good THEN, either. Elvis was evil. His lyrics and the way he moved his hips. It got so bad that most stations, when he played live, filmed only his upper half! You got Johnny Cash. You got the early rock. Now you have shitty pop music, shitty rock music and shitty rap music flooding the air waves. Thank you, powerful executives!
Marketing & money aside, read my 2nd post in this thread.
People in the know, know all about mind programming within music. Frequencies trigger parts of your brain.
