Anyone read this book? I can't seem to find any reviews or excerpts on the net. I've searched amazon, google, and google books, but can find nothing. This is the amazon link to the book: http://www.amazon.com/Whores-War-Mercenaries-Today-Pelican/dp/0140220275/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1222633349&sr=8-1

I bought the book, and the only reason I bought the book was because Robert Young Pelton (Author/Adventurist), who knows his shit on PMCs/Mercenaries, referred to it as being one of a few books which portrays mercenaries accurately. It was published in 1977 so I figure it has something to do w/ Africa.

So if anyone's read it, please chime in. I'm anxious to crack this bitch open.

I guess the only thing to do now, until I get it, is do a little background on the authors to see if they're legit.

If anyone cares, I found the excerpt recommending this book.

Probably the most accurate, well-written, and depressing of the bunch is The Whores of War: Mercenaries Today, by Wilfred Burchett and Derek Roebuck.... Whores, published in 1977, chronicles the misfortunes of 13 American and British mercs in Angola who were captured, tried, and executed or imprisoned.

Sounds like it's at least worth the read.
