I am thinking about trading in my 07 kawasaki 636 for a 08 or 09 harley davidson night rod. I like the styling of the night rod and like how it road. So my question is what do the bike guys of gearheads think.
Here is a pic of the night rod the one I was looking at is flat black.

Most of what you're going to get is opinion.

I'd take a vrod over a night rod any day, but again, that's opinion.

Why are you selling your 636, and why do you like the Harley? I've ridden neither, so I wouldn't know why you would pick one over the other, besides the fact that the Harley will definitely get you more bitches ;)

I have a bad lower back and the seating stance on the 636 bothers me.

Truth be told I should have kept the triumph speed triple I traded for the 636 it had the best of both worlds.

The night rod is the only two cyl bike other than a BMW that I would ride, let's put it that way.

So any cruiser would work?

I'd look at the Kawasaki Vulcan merely because it's 2000cc, makes nearly the same horsepower and almost twice the torque of the nightrod and costs close to the same. Pretty much all you'll be losing is resale value and the fact that you don't own a harley ;)

An engine bigger than the one in my Celica on a bike that weighs 1/3 of it makes me hard.

A guy that went from V-Rod to Vulcan.

I like the resale value because it seems like I trad or sell my bikes after about a year or two so that's why I looked at the harley and because my grandpa had one.
