I want to be able to read books that aren't at my college's library and not have to pay for them...And suggestions for how I can get them off line???

There should be something like wikipedia but is nothing but books, like a site where you can go and open a pdf format of any book known in existence for free....

Free universal library anyone??

Does such a thing exist that I don't know of? Or is there a way I can download free ebooks?

Help?

We talking textbooks here or lit books?

If the latter, there are numerous IRC channels to get digital copies of books.

Do you not see the stickied thread entitled 'eBook Resources' immediately above this one?

Seriously, check the eBook resources thread.

I'd say look for the torrent site that is specifically for school textbooks.

I doubt you'll find many books online that you can't get in a university library. But torrents and irc are a good start though sometimes just using google is best.
