I recently reformatted my computer and now I can't use the internet. I installed the drivers and everything works except for the internet. I have windows XP and a dell Dimension PC, if that helps. I know, I know don't laugh, please.

Wrong forum, buddy.

You should probably take the opportunity to install Gnu/Linux.

I'm not a windows guy but I know there's a network utility control panel somewhere. Open that and see it lists any network interfaces. If there isn't one then maybe you just forgot to install a driver.

If there is one, check to make sure its set up properly with your network.

Also a little bit more information about the layout of your network would be nice (are you wired, wireless, are you behind a router, are there other computers in your home, etc)

I am wired and use a router and there are multiple computers in my home that use the same router. Is there a way in DOS to access my network?

Boot off of a Ubuntu live CD and see if the network works. If it doesn't, it's hardware problem, if it does, it's a windows config problem.

If it is a windows config problem, I've seen a lot of times people have deleted or created new interfaces that try to get on the net with pppoe or other shit like that. Delete everything in your Network Interfaces list besides what you need.
