any oxford student on here, if so can you give me some general tips about the interview, it format, questions they ask etc. it would be much appreciated, thank you

Yeah...the only thing I could tell you and the OP is to google it. I'm sure it's out there. Also look into books. When I was in high school and had dreams of going to Harvard, I found a lot of books on the application process, including the interview.

From what I hear the books are normally poor, and provide little more than what the universities already tell you. For me having a specialist interest in the field of your degree would be gold dust. Having read a paper by one of their peers at another good uni is a good idea,but even better is to have read a paper/article from one of the Oxbridge professors. I myself have just read a book by a physician at Cambridge and will mention it at my interview when they ask me about my specialist subject.

Thanks, I will now do that, I really hope to do medicine at Oxford, although I know that only about 10% of people who apply get in, so I'm going to work really hard over the next couple of years
