So there's a discussion question I'm having trouble answering.

"The Janus Green B stain should allow you to see mitochondria within the cells obtained from your cheek sample. Describe below the observations you made about the number of mitochondria per cell and their relative distribution and size within the cytoplasm of cheek cells."

Can anyone help? thanks

So did you stain your cells or not? Answer the questions based on what you saw.

how hard could it be?

with a scale on the microscope, you have the relative size of the cell. find the approximate size of a mitochondrion, then write that down. count the number of mitochondria, then write that down two (like, there were on average, 9 mitochondria per cell). if you want to be fancy, you could compare this to say, some other cell like a muscle cell, which should have more mitochondria, and explain how the cheeks use less energy and so needs fewer mitochondria
