I have my final french oral for high school in 4 days. My teacher has only given my class an opportunity to have speaking practice with her three times, for the whole fucking year, which is obviously NOT AT ALL ENOUGH!!!!!

So basically we will be asked questions on family, friends, the future, interest etc and also a detailed study of our choice, it lasts around 15 to 20 mins all in french.

I'm asking you totse, what is the best most efficent way to practice?? Should i just go over vocab and verb structure or try to memorise answers I've written. How can I get the most out of my 4 remaing days??

If you were serious about French you would have been supplementing your studies with audio a long time ago. Unfortunately you can't learn to speak about all those topics in 4 days, and we have no idea at what level you are anyways.

I don't KNOW EXACTLY what will be asked, but i've taken a few stabs at what will be and have prepared answers for those questions.

I did say I was at final year High school, so that schould give you some idea of the standard of French.

I am somewhat serious about the language and have been listening to French audio, in fact I generally listen 15mins a day, so the problem's not there, listening and writting I'm great. But when it comes to speaking I'm lost, due to insufficent practice time and shit teachers.

What is the best way to prepare for a LOTE ORAL?

I took French I in middle school, French II, III and AP my freshmen, sophomore and junior years. I took Beginning Spanish my senior year. Don't make assumptions.


Short answer: Your fucked.

Long answer: Go pick up a copy of Le Monde and read it cover to cover. Use it to help your phrasing so you don't say things like "The toilet I use where is it?". You'll get bonus points for not sounding retarded. Start studying your ASS off, mumble french to yourself every spare minute, try to think in French. Its your only hope.

Thinking in French helps a lot, try to as best you can.
