This Zeitgeist movie deals with the monetary system.
Unlike the first movie that talked about religion and 9/11, this one focuses on how the monetary system is corrupt and must go. It talks on how money is created out of thin air, how our political system is fucked up, and how major corporations are in charge of it all, and if anyone tries to fuck it up, death will happen.
This one is way better than the first one in my opinion.

EDIT: I tried watching that load of crap and I had to stop when it said corporations don't want technological advancement and efficiency. More tech., more cutting labor costs, which means more profit.
More efficiency, means again cutting costs, which again means more profits...

How about this? you do your own research on the subject? or are you just buying into it?
Think about this as well...Corporations are always looking for efficiency, it reduces costs and increases profits. Furthermore, corporations are always looking for technology, you know why? OH WAIT TO REDUCE FUCKING COSTS!!!
you know why zeitgiest lost its credibility? because it uses other conspiracies as sources! sources are indisputable facts, and conspiracies, by their very nature, are disputable....ergo conspiracy=/= source!

Just finished watching it and I agree, this is an important movie and more people should watch it, but more importantly, more people should think, and that is what I think this movie will cause in many people, an awakening of the power of the "I", and the potential of their etheric organ.
I thought the Venus Project (http://www.thevenusproject.com/) was very interesting.
For a book that overturns stale Scientific Dogma go here (http://divinecosmos.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=category§ionid=6&id=19&Itemid=36).

it seems way to good to be true
and it seems that there will be alot more rules than there are now
since they wont let people have religion, and no one will have jobs to pay for food. They will families and individuals a limited amount of food daily or weekly or so. It seems like no matter what happens this world will continue to be shit

Nope. Scarcity is not manmade. A world without markets is impossible. As long as someone wants something that somebody else has, there is a market.
Really, this zeitgeist film is good only for the first half. The explanation of our monetary system and the history of Us intervention in latin america are good explanations. It should be separate from the other half to avoid zeitgeist getting lumped as hopelessly utopian and idealistic.

I like Zeitgeist... HOWEVER.
The problem is one person/multiple people does not have the brain capacity to do such a Farking huge task. There will always be conflicts in peoples views and even from this thread you can see everyones own opinion is "holier than thou". NO ONE CAN EVER PLEASE EVERYONE. So the venus project will not work as much as I would like it to. The venus project leaders would become the new so called "elitests" of the new world. I believe there is a solution out there we just have to find it.
If we as a human race finally mastered living comfortable (Machines doing all our work) then it would leave us free to focus on the things that matter (self pleasure). I would categorise these as sex/music/drugs/spirituality/self improvement/human race improvement. I think with everyone only having to focus on that the world would be one fucking happy place.

For the conflicts of views, we just need to change arguments into discussions and realise there is no such thing as a 'right' opinion. And the venus project leaders becoming elitists is actually in the faq on their site, they explained that wouldnt happen.
I think your arguments are based on the problems that just exist in todays society, which is exactly what needs to be resloved.
The only way to please everyone is to make them equal - take away rights, freedom, etc.

not necessarily productive.
I think people would get a shitload of hobbies.
No work/financial problems = far less stress.
Low stress = having an interest in life.
Like look at filthy rich people, they all have a shitload of hobbies and stay as a CEO or a director of something just to do something.
Or they'd get addicted to something, like booze and then drink too much and then people will try to stop them and deny them booze and then booze becomes the new underground currency and people start killing for it and everything just turns to shit again.

Er, if you like the part about the monetary system, why not watch Web of Debt, which is where I assume Zeitgeist stole its' information from.
Zeitgeist is shit. I hate Zeitgeist. It is for fuckwits. I like the part how Zeitgeist fans think that by sharing web links and subscribing blind faith it is going to help save the world. Get out there and do something. Use original ideas, as in do your own damn research. Scan multiple world newspapers for multiple perspectives on news items. Although the internet is a good battle ground, eventually we will lose that medium, that is, if the conspiracies are true...
Lazy cunts. You haven't done anything. You have watched a mockumentary. I watched Finding Nemo the other day too. Is that helping?
What are you going to do now? Sit around for a year until Zeitgeist 3 comes out, and then have something new to talk about. You disgust me.
I would suggest assassinating politicians and corporate moguls, however that would be illegal, and you would probably end up dead, and I guess you don't really care about the world enough to die to help others, your aims are purely selfish and based on primitive animal social structures where you don't like being controlled yet convince yourself that you are really trying to help the common man. Teen angst much? Instead you will just discuss conspiracies you have heard and apply no original thought to it. Worse than the 'sheeple'.
Fuck you.

just a small note:
at about 49 minuits in, it has a quote by UK foreign secretary Robin cook saying that al quaeda is an invented entity by the CIA.
that is the same Robin Cook who "died of a heart attack" while walking in the hills of scotland shortly before he was going to publish his memoirs about the lead up to the iraq war.
his body has been cremated.
also, there is the "annointed successor" to chairman mao, lin biao who died when his plane exploded in mid air when he was on a flight to moscow, shortly after, the "gang of four" took over the government of China, then deng xiao ping who liberalised the economy of china and now we have china integrated into the world capitallist system.

As if Al Qaeda isn't a part of the CIA.
When the mujahadeen or however you spell it were fighting the Soviets, in comes the CIA with weapons and training for the Muslims.
Now, CIA training, what would that involve.
You would tend to find it involves indoctrination and brainwashing before you get anything else. They are essentially about global control and string pulling.
Ever notice how Bin Laden appears on tape?
He is looking up at the camera with submission/love in his eyes. The camera is his boss. He's a slave. Why isn't he killed yet? Why was a French special forces team told to NOT shoot him when they had him and to wait for a US team to arrive, which took too long by which time he had moved on?
Bin Laden, in my opinion, is just like Bush. Has no idea who he is or that his decisions are not his own. Let's look at Bush snr, wasn't he the boss of the CIA at one point?
Yeah, I know. Crazy talk.

You may have neglected to notice that I have two consecutive posts somewhere on this page, the second one contains a link.
Congratulations, you are the second person to get on my ignore list.
I am currently watching Zeitgeist: Addendum, its almost near the end and Im quite disgusted. In the first Zeitgeist the producers collected information from various other documentaries and conspiracy theorist. The first half of Addendum is in the same manner, relevant second hand information, commendable only because it raises awarness. The second half the producers attempt to promote their own ideas and values. Which is appauling because they are firstly criticising the monetary system and captialism and therefore concluding that because it has been corrupted and perverted that it is redundant, this is false. The entire venus project is reminiscent of classic communist ideas where the individuals rights are supressed. They continually talk about freedom but intertwine it with, 'collective management of resources', and other phrases suggesting that the education of another individual will benifit them, it probably will but they dont have the right to another talents. These ideas all stink of repression and control. Their ideas are a blend of Rousseau and Marx. The horrible socialist ideals that criticise capitalism but fails to recognise capitalisms primary purpose of progress. They mention how, 'no human being is smart', probably the pinacle of their pathethic input. No human being is smart but the only relevant data to your futurist ideas that would make it appealing is the scientist that have created the technology which they are basing their ideology on. They talk about technology free man from the bondage of monotunous employment but claim that a society without money will increase freedom. The reason that pure capitalism is the freedom is that the individual does not have to seek handouts when requiring the services of another individual, money is a medium of exchange where value is exchanged. In a society that is without money and has planning of resources the individual would be in a more tyrannical society than the current corrupt capitalist system. They talk about a society with the absence of government, so wise guys, who will do your 'intelligent planning of resources'? They used Ron Paul's criticism of the economic system to validate their second hand information, Ron Paul would never ever agree with the evil they are promoting.
In all likelyhood the state planning and cashless society which they are promoting is probably the desires of the ruling elite coupled with a significantly reduced population.

Their 9/11 conspiracy: contradictions in a time line.
They say it takes 2 weeks to set up a demolition, and for the twin towers it might even take longer. So that would mean the U.S. was planning these attacks weeks before they happened.
However, in the next video I believe, they say the reasons for invading Afghanistan occured just two days before 9/11. They rabbled on about some drug conspiracy in Afghanistan. bush then recieved papers saying this is a problem, and two days later (9/11) he had an excuse to go to war. 2 days to set up demolition for 7 huge buildings? okay
+ they also claim terrorists are a made up figure by our government, trying to say theres no such things as terrorist, or Alqueda or however the fuck u spell it.
Im sure theres more shit I missed.
This video is a work of fiction, do they provide sources? They compliment their bullshit, with bullshit they assume. Their CULT assumtions are retarted.

I have done some limited research on the information and theories presented in zeitgeist and addendum. the part about Horus may or may not be true as, in ancient Egypt, the god Horus was a constantly evolving character, with different attributes and origins depending on which part of Egypt you were in.
the 9/11 conspiracy is mostly bullshit. the monetary conspiracy appears to be accurate and the Venus project sounds like communism without currency. with vague references about some kind of 'big brother' regulating everything. zeitgeist tells a good story, but then again so did the bible.
