I was thinking last night that car companies are forever producing new vehicles. What got me thinking was the amount of car commercials there are on television and in magazines.
Honestly, we have too many cars. People are stuck on upgrading to a new car every so often. They all require natural resources using up metal, fossil fuels, and then the things like the batteries and tyres.
Car consumption rates and the disposability of cars is an environmental disaster. And I balme the streamlined process of them these days in asia, new cars that cost less than $20,000 aren't things you'd take care of the same way you would a $100,000 car. I think this needs to change, and car companies don't deserve praise for tuning into the flavour of the month and producing 'eco' cars. It's replacing something you already have with a brand new automobile.
