We look back on the Federal Reserve now, and realize that it's bad. But in the future will people look back on the current economic goings on and see it the same we see the Federal Reserve?

We are beginning to see banks consolidate, and banks buying each other up. Then the Federal Reserve coming in and purchasing "small portions" of the debt. Is this the beginning of a some sort of "Illuminati buying up and owning everything conspiracy?"
If the FED owned these big banks, wouldn't they be able to control salaries of the people working there?

The FED is also beginning to loan money straight to business with a "reduced interest rate" which means they could end up owning the business they loaned to.

Personally this seems like a Big Government movement.
