I know in the US it varies by state to carry a knife but what about a sword?
Is it illegal to carry a sword?
Is a sheathed sword considered concealed?
Is it illegal to OWN a sword?
Is there a license one can get to carry a sword?
If its illegal to carry or own a sword why? We have the right to arms.

Most laws concerning bladed weapons as I understand simply designate those items with a sharpened edge of a certain length and design, for instance in my community it's perfectly legal to carry a sharp-edged non-mechanical folding implement with a blade no larger than three inches.

(pretending to be a legislator) What? Really? I had no feckin' clue!
Your Second Amendment rights are worth next to nothing these days, as exemplified by federal, state, and local laws, such as the Brady Handgun Control Act. Under the Obama presidency and Democratic Congress things will probably get much worse for arms bearers.

In most places it would be illegal.
Besides, this just encourages mall ninja stupidity. Just keep walking around with a plastic sword ok?
