Shrek 1 was hilarious all-around, don't hate.
But yeah, I think you've pretty much seen his best ones. I never saw the cop ones, but Coming to America and The Golden Child are classics for me.

Not 80's, but Vampire in Brooklyn FTW!!!
Metro was a good cop-action from the early nineties.

Eddie Murphy is beyond washed up. But yeah, those are his 80s highlights.

I've always thought Trading Places doesn't get enough credit.

Because of Jamie Lee Curtis's titties?

I liked the movie Life.
The Golden Child is a weird, bad movie... but worth watching just for Murphy. Some scenes are downright classic.
Come to think of it, that movie made me laugh more than any other Eddie Murphy movie.

I'll have to agree with this one.
The Golden Child had some of Murphy's most memorable lines.
The Nutty Professor is probably my second favorite.
Trading Places, while good, is more Akroyd's movie to me.
Coming to America is alright, but it seems the funniest parts belonged to the supporting actors.
Bowfinger is a pretty good movie.

i absolutely loved his standuyp.
delirious and raw.
kind of like richard pryor.
except i get most of the shit eddie talks about.
richard pryor was in another context (the 60s, 70s,)
at least with eddie i can sitll undestand half his shit.
