Im thinking of putting a sub into my new car. But don't feel like spending the money on a deck, because if I do I'll have to go with a DVD navigation unit so it doesn't look like crap, and that's expensive. Plus I like the look of stalk 6cd changer deck.
It has an AUX button that doesn't do anything when I press it, i don't know what its for.

Locate the AUX input, the button is only to tell the radio to accept input from an auxiliary cable. Also, on the sub outs, probably not.
It won't have a sub output, but if you buy an amp with speaker level inputs you can connect it to the wires going to your rear speakers.

But either lose power going to the rears or have terrible sound quality going to the subs. I tried it with mine before I bought a new headunit, sounded terrible.

^^If the guy doesn't want a proper deck etc because it 'looks crap' then he'll have to deal with it, or pay someone to add amp outs to the standard deck which won't have great SQ anyway.
An amp I just bought about a week ago came with a port and a cable to hook up to the rears and a switch to change between the line out and the rears. I haven't hooked it up that way because my head is awesome. It's Blaupunkt. It came out like 10ish years. It has line out and all, it's even got a 3.5mm jack for what they called a "portable". I'm assuming a Portable Compact Disc player. It's even got a wire for a cellphone mute. This was years before cellphones were popular. I love Blaupunkt equip.
