This is a continuation from my Nicaragua thread. I feel I should make a new one.

As it happens, my parents are so opposed to keeping me out of South America they are willing to pay for (some) of my trip on the condition I go to Europe instead.

It seems clichéd to go to Europe to me, but I may as well take up the offer.

If I am going to Spain, what city would be the best for a working holiday?
I am thinking Barcelona. I'm looking for a place that a young man who wants to binge his ass off would enjoy, although I would like to soak up some culture while I’m there.

I have been looking at some work options (teaching English mostly) but if anyone also has any possible sources for work I would be much obliged.

Im Spanish and I would say Barcelona is a great option.

A big city, with lots of nightlife, great and young people and a great culture.

Where are you from? I assume an EU country. Because working legally in Spain if you don't have the right passport can be a huge bureaucratic pain in the ass.

But if you can make it here, I recommend Madrid or Barcelona for the work and social opportunities.

I am Australian, I hope that it isn't a huge pain in the ass because it would suck the fun out of the whole thing.
