I easily could have bought the older movies (they were 10 bucks cheaper, in fact), but I bought this one.

No regrets.

The movie has a few retarded scenes (just like all of the past movies), namely the sword-fight and the tree/waterfalls sequence, but aside from those I enjoyed just about every frame of the movie. Much more artistically inspired than the earlier movies (ie. the nuclear blast, the alien liftoff), funny, 2-3 superb action sequences, and it brought a fitting, feel-good conclusion to the series. Chill out.

But that was the problem, the series should have already been concluded! He has a son now? How is that fitting? That's just a tease to more sequels coming out. All I'm saying is that it should have stopped at 3 movies.

What the hell was up with the scene where Shia Labeouf gets those monkeys to help him?

All in all, it wasn't up to the standard of Raiders, but it wasn't a bad movie.

You could have just posted this in your South Park thread that's really about Indiana Jones.

Awesome - it's worth it purely for the nuke scene.

The new one was pretty awesome. I don't get why everyone gets pissy because there are some absurd things. Yeah, sure, aliens and surviving the heatblast from a nuke (the nuke was miles away, so he was actually hit with a blast of hot air that comes before the actual nuclear blast) are more absurd than: ripping a man's still-beating heart from his chest which catches on fire when the man who is still alive descends into lava, a1000-year old Grail knight living in a secret room underneath a cathedral in Turkey that has a fucking invisible walkway in it, and the sight of an opened box causes heads to literally explode and yet closing your eyes protects you. Yes, the movie could have been better, but it was still damn fine, especially in comparison to a fuckload of modern movies. I see new movies all the time between my long-term fallback job at a movie theater and movies being one of the few entertainment things at college.

I actually thought the script was terrible, and that shia leboeuf couldn't act his way out of a paper bag. The dialog was forced and stale; the feeble attempts at humor had me cringing in my seat.

I fucking loved watching the space ship take off at the end though.

I loved this movie almost as much as Star Wars Episodes 1-3:rolleyes:

Episode 3 was awesome. You weren't around in the 70s, and no one thinks your cool for latching onto the old movies. All of them are good entertainment, at worst, so SHUT THE FUCK UP.

God. Just shut the fuck up. Shia LeBouef filled the role just fine. Indiana Jones movies aren't a fucking acting buffet. If you're going to complain about him, you might as well complain about Short Round from Temple of Doom too. Hell, you might as well complain about Harrison Ford too...all he does is deliver expository dialogue and wisecracks, just like every other character in these movies.

Gorloche, I agree with you 200%, and I'm so fucking sick of these goddamn cocksuckers bitching about any and everything in any motherfucking new movie that comes out.

I'm glad you liked the spaceship scene though.

Now see short round was a great, loveable character. Seeing short round warms my heart.

Seeing LeBouef makes me cringe.
