SWIM is currently staying in a hotel for awile. The hotel offers free WIRED highspeed internet in every room via ethernet port in the wall.

Someone else had moved into the hotel and downloads alot of torrents and lagging the connection. The afore-mentioned SWIM found a program that shutdown computers on the network, anonomously. This worked great until the people complained.Tech moved on the situation and shutdown the network in groups, until they figured out and shut down SWIM's connection to the network due to 'exceeding bandwith' (idiots..).

Now SWIM must use a phone line and shitty 56k to get internet access. Is there any possible way to spoof or find a way back onto the network? When plugged into ethernet, get the error of Limited Connectivity. Is there any way to fool the network into allowing the computer back onto the network,or is SWIM stuck with 56k now?

Stop saying SWIM. It's useless and just makes you sound retarded.

They probably disabled the physical port (probably unplugged it from the router), so the only way to turn it back on is probably to ask them to do it (with a promise not to do whatever you did again).

If it's not a disabled port, but instead MAC filtering, just get a MAC changer and use something like DE:AD:BE:EF, which is a generic MAC address used by some people for VPNs. You could also make up a MAC address like 12:43:97:AD, and it should work if it's only a filter.

Of course, if you get back on, they'll probably know about it fairly shortly.

What he said. If the hotel techs are lazy, they unplugged your room. If they are smart or dont want to leave their desk, they blocked your MAC address. Spoof your MAC address.

or you could "black up" ( boot polish is acceptable ) and infeltrate the server / router room late at night and plug your port back in :) this way they will think that your still unplugged and wont bothere checking if you have net access when u use your super leet hacking skills to shut ppls pc's down again and access lots of doggy porn at high speeeeeeeeds :)
