View Full Version : Bathroom reading material.
I am just curious as to what &T members keep in the bathroom as reading material whilst performing action number two.
Personally I've got a little book of short blurbs about shitty holidays called "Crap Vacations," and last month's issues of a few different outdoor magazines.
What about you?

Dude, that's a cool site. Thanks.
By the way, Calvin and Hobbes rocks. I own a shirt with this print (http://kanslozebagger.org/wp-content/images/hobbes_revenge.jpg) on it from T-Shirt Hell.
That's pretty coincidental because I also use Bathroom Reader, Calvin and Hobbes, and Far side as bathroom reading material. I also have a Bloom County collection and some old reader's digest magazines.

Are you seriously telling me that you take long enough to take a shit that you can actually get something read?

Indeed.
What's the purpose of taking a shit if you don't learn something new whilst doing so?

Time Magazine, Maxim, or the Economist for regular duration
I'm currently reading a book by David McCullough about the Panama Canal which I grab if it's gonna be a long haul or it's diarrhea and I want something soothing.

I only keep magazines in the shitter. If I keep a story, I end up reading it for too long and spending too much time in the stink.

I think the act of defecation is entertaining enough that reading material is totally unnecessary.

Does it take you a long time to poop or do you just sit there reading for a while after your done?
I eat plenty of fiber, reading material has never been necessary.

Not when you're constipated it isn't. It's a grueling task, thus the reading.

It really depends. Sometimes it's just "pllooopppp," other times it's "plop... five minute pause...plop." That's when I get my reading sessions in.

Agreed.

I always take a Stephen King book with me to the bathroom. Just in case there's no toilet paper.

Oh piss off.
Maybe you should purchase some pseudointellectual garbage and use that shit. Stephen King isn't the best of American novelists, but he's easily readable and writes a damned good story.

I usually take in whatever book I'm reading at the moment. Kinda sucks when you only get a few pages done though. :\

The Complete Annotated Grateful Dead Lyrics.
You know, whilst browsing this forum and contemplating my "newspapers" thread, I realized how inconvenient reading the newspaper probably is when making number two. Thus, I don't think I'll be carrying my USA Today copy in anytime soon.
