We got any panther fans in here? Im a really big fan. We are 5-2 right now, The thing is we beat good teams like sandiego which was a superbowl pick, beat the bears and then we lose to the vikings. it seems like when the team plays with emotion we stomp some ass's, but i've noticed that sometimes the team looks tired and show's no emotion or heart in a game and they lose. I hope we can go all the way and win out first superbowl.

Man I don't ever even hear a thing about the Panthers so that might explain it a little.

Well the teams first two games Jake Delhomme threw a last second touchdown against Sandiego literally the very last play to win the game. The second game we played Chicago and won, holding both rushers under 100 yards who were among the top rushers during the time. And to add we didnt have our best receiver Steve Smith during the first two games.
Deangelo Williams is averaging 5.1 yards per carry and we have a rookie Johathan Stewart who is averaging 4.3 yards per carry. Last week the team rushed for over 250 yards with our two running backs for the most rushing yards in franchise history.
Our second half of the season is alot tougher I think, we gotta play atlanta, tampa bay, new orleans, green bay, denver, and last the new york giants. So hopefully our good defense who has only allowed 155 points this year which is second best only behind the tennesee titans can help the offense and keep our streak going.

Looks like I spoke to early. The team lost to Atlanta sunday falling down 17 to 0 early, It actually looked like the panthers were gonna come back in the second half and only needing a touchdown to tie it up on 3rd and goal, but the defence and special teams then gave up and the game fell out of reach.

Great game today,, Mr 4th quarter comeback Jake Delhomme threw a 54 yard pass to Steve Smith to the 1 yard line with less than 2 minutes left to defeat the Green Bay Packers, it looked like the defence was going to give up the game but thank you lord for the win.
I love watching Packers get beat.

I think you can thank the Packers kick coverage teams more than the Lord

Ok yeah.. the return to the 50 yard line did help us alot, what helped us more was Smith catching that ball in double coverage.

the ball got returned three times (out of 5 over the course of the game) to the Carolina 45 or better, not just that one time. With the punt team struggling at the moment, having the kickoff team falter like that doomed the packers. The defense kept Steve Smith in check, allowing 15 yards receiving to him over the first three quarters. If either of his fourth quarter catches were made after reasonable kick coverage, his 36 yarder would have put them just into Green Bay territory, and his 54 yarder would put them at about the packer 15. That one I could see chalking points up to, but his catch for 36 yards wouldn't have been as significant. When the defense is given a short field to defend after only a short break, it's difficult to defend a player like Steve Smith, and setting the defense up that poorly is entirely on the Special Teams.

Yeah well we've actually been a little better this year than last at special teams but every team has a few weaknesses. I thought we had the game in check until the second half. Sometimes our defence seems to give up during a game and left the other team run up the score. A while back we were actually about 3rd overall in defence but not anymore.

Did anyone see the game? We beat Tampa Bay rushing for over 300 yards, Tampa has only allowed 1 rushing td this year and we rushed for 4. We play the Giants in 2 weeks where we might be able to become the number 1 seed in the nfl.

I hope your team shares the same mentality as you in overlooking the Broncos. Coming off a big primetime win over a divisional rival to take first place... Stranger things have happened. By all means, kick the shit out of the Giants in two weeks. But choke this Sunday please. Thanks.

Man im not overlooking the broncos. I think we could win just 2 more as long as we beat the giants and still maybe get the #1 seed.

Game of the year type material coming up this sunday, where hopefully there will be a new top dog again in the nfc. Since I have started this thread we have gone like 6-1 I believe. Williams in now number 1 in touchdowns this year. Smith might be number 1 in reception yards if he were here for the first 2 games.

Bye week for the win! i think we can take any of them wildcard teams. We have already beat Atlanta, Arizona, got beat by minnesota but shouldnt have, and lets hope that Philly doesnt keep their streak going. I hope we go back to play the giants and beat them, after all the giants lost to the patriots last year and beat them in the playoffs. On the afc side I am pulling for miami.
Ps: I think we need to start seeing more action in the go team section.
