As the title says, has anyone seen these boots around?

Pic 1 (http://www.allsaintsshop.co.uk/product/?searchtext=&area=M&category_id=4&page=1&all=0&position=0&prod_desc_id=5051214369020), Pic 2 (http://www.allsaintsshop.co.uk/mens/), Pic 3 (http://www.allsaintsshop.co.uk/product/?prod_desc_id=5051214368153)

This weird new vintage, worn, world war II type boots... I've seen them everywhere in shop windows. They look very much like these REAL vintage boots (http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h271/andrefaisal/HPDC/htc-vintage-boots.jpg). Not too keen on them myself although I have seen these around quite a lot. I'm sure they would go with some carefully chosen outfits, though it's not just boots you can slip on to anything. Quite expensive, too.

Have you seen them around? What do you make of them?

Bag of shite, horrible, wouldn't be seen dead in them.

Would only wear them if I was over 50 years of age.

Yes, Dr.Martens would be the origional choice for people buying this type of boots, I think it's the whole worn and scuffed thing going on that is popular, saying that I have'nt seen anyone wearing these just models and manikins. I love the make All Saints.

Find a army surplus stand at a market, get original WWII gear that was actualy used. Can't beat that for the 'worn' look can you? ;)

I've never seen the appeal behind looking like a tramp.

But then I'm a fashion simpleton.

Don't buy Doc Martins.

I say the same thing in every combat boot thread. Army surplus stores and second hand shops. You shouldn't have to pay more then ten bucks for a solid pair of boots.

I use to think that till I spent some money on the Altama Exospeed boots. They are comfortable as hell and almost always sold out at tactical gear stores. They push the limit as far regulation goes when wearing them with the Army uniform, but worth the money. I would still have mine if someone didn't steal them at NTC!
