Is the reason they can't get to us (assuming other life forms exist) because they have to stick to the laws of the speed of light, or is the speed of light as we know it only a factor in our solar system/universe? (if multiverses exist, that is) Bear with me, I'm a noob :P

Do you really think that any "sentient" beings capable of traveling such distances would care about a parasitic species on an insignificant planet in an insignificant solar system (etc) enough to come, stop, stay, for a while then leave even if they could?
Its not like they'd think on the same level as us - (ie. Dogs Vs Turkeys) anyway.. :p

We don't know, I doubt it though, if there are some UFO videos that are real then it proves they don't have to travel at light speed. Never know.:D

Or maybe they mastered quantum computing thousands of years and are now watching us all courtesy of trillions of infinitely small cameras that they installed back when we were primates. And back on their planet they have billions of channels on their Television, flicking through thousands of different views of everyone's lives when an advertisement comes on. Judging us, analysing every single one of our mistakes...

Okay... I'll stop :P

^^ oh noes they are watching me masturbate

well, we cant really say for sure whether or not they can visit us. if we knew that the speed of light could be broken, we would have people working on it

I think that if they're smart enough to master interstellar travel then they're smart enough to stay a good distance away from us.
