View Full Version : Newspapers.
I'm just curious as to what newspapers the members of &T read on a regular, semi-regular, or even every once-in-a-great while basis.
Personally, I read USA Today almost every day; The Wall Street Journal and New York Times a few times each per week; and the Cincinnati Enquirer rather infrequently, usually when someone else leaves a copy behind at the coffee shop, work, etc.
Yourselves?
National Post(Daily),Toronto Star(Have to read it at school). There's a shop near me that stocks World Wide Newspapers, so I occasionally pop in and pick up a copy of the New York Times.
fuck newspapers. i just skip to the cartoons.

I read the New York Times everyday. I don't bother with my local paper; besides the local news, it's just a bland collection of AP stories. The depth of the stories in the Times is so much better, in my opinion, and makes anything the wire puts out seem superficial in comparison.

Herald Sun occasionally, but I just look at the website.
I read the daily rags on a regular basis.
I enjoy the Globe and Mail, but seldom have the time to give it the proper attention. I get an electronic copy of the Calgary Sun sent to me on a daily basis.

I read the Daily Athenaeum monday through friday. its my universities paper. it used to be very good with excellent sports an opinion writers. lately it is lacking. relying heavily on ap wires.
besides that, i have been known to read the wall street journal when it becomes available.
in all honesty i find my self going online for my news more often than not.
its still the written word, just electronic now:eek:

I browse the Wall Street Journal sometimes. They provide free copies here in my university.

Mostly online: Canada.com papers, LA Times, & of course, links on the Drudge Report.

I gave up on the Cincinnati Enquirer, but I still check out Cin Weekly from time to time. Eh, for free it is a great piece of fluff to kill time with.

Well I think they should since the tuition fees here are among the highest in this country and we can barely afford it.
Most of the people who study here are intelligent rich bastards.

Philly Inquirer once or twice a week, New York Times two or three times a week, and online sources like alternet.org or democracynow.org

indymedia.org is also a good site for news of a slightly different bias than cnn an fox
