So finally got a 42" rear projection TV, complete with fresnel lense, at my dump. There are 3 lenses on the inside for RGB I assume, with tons of sensors and electronics behind them. If anyone has ideas on what to do with them or could use on in a project, let me know. The fresnel lense is staying with me btw, it should be fun to play with.

There's a ton of electronics and I think speakers as well in this, so whatever you want I'll try to yank it out. Pics if needed.

I also got some random motherboards for RDP- I'll give you pics and ship them with the paint motor if you want them.

Also got some random power transformer things[the black boxes you plug in the wall to change the current to 9V DC @ XXXmA or what have you]. If anybody needs one, let me know, I have 10-12 hanging around my house that aren't paired up with anything.

Also got a sony audio/video "control center" [just a nice amp] that is probably working. I don't really need it, so thats up for grabs if you got stuff to trade.

Btw, this is all bartering thread junk, same rules apply. I have to ditch the carcass of the TV soon though, so I wanted to get some quick replies about who needs what.

Sounds good. MoBos are always fun if for nothing other than ripping parts from. The bes thing I can thing of to do with the fresnel lens is make a giant solar burning device. There's a page about some guy doing it somewhere online. Google will probably yield something there.

Yeah, that's what inspired me to find one. I started going to the dump regularly again 4 weeks ago looking for a wide screen, and I got pretty lucky. Any idea what to do with those lenses? Each one projects video in a certain color I think, not too sure. It'd be kind of funny to mount them at equal distances and project them as 3 separate videos in different colors. If this isn't too hard, I'm totally doing it. Shit, I'm really diggin myself in with a lot of projects right now, time to get working and build!
