Make Yourself at Home (2007) - French - Gautier About
I just watched this short film last night and I have to say it was very amusing, although the end sort of freaked me out a bit.
It's basically just about a guy named Benoit who moves to Paris and holds a housewarming party. Three randoms show up and don't leave, they just hang out at his place for the next few days. They get drunk, have fun, that kind of crap.
After so many films I still don't completely understand French humour. It's always situational, always random events like this of which the director provides no explanation so it gets a little frustrating.
The movie only runs for about 20 minutes so see it if you can. Not because it's an amazing short film, but rather for the fact that it more or less epitomises French humour - you'll laugh, but afterwards you'll get this strange feeling of regret (for what I'm not sure, it just happens).
