Could that actually work if they decided to testify against you in court?

For example, if someone wanted to have a party where obvious underage drinking and drug use would occur.

Could they have a bouncer type person stand at the door with a document saying that by entering the building and signing this document they agree to not testify in court or pursue and civil damages against said person/parties and that said person/parties are not liable or responsible for anything that occurs during this time span etc etc.

And the bouncer checked the drivers licence and had that person write there name/signature..

Would that actually work if someone was to testify saying you hosted a party with illicit drinking and drug use. Could you present their document saying they signed that any testimony in court would be invalidated..

Would this work or am I just a dumbass?

Since I don't know where you live I am not sure this is relevent but anyway... In Australia you can have kids drinking as long as they are 14+ (in most states, in some it is 16+) as long as they are behind the letter box, which is the official line between you and the public area drinking, provided there is someone 18+ present. If the police rock up and there is some complaint they are aloud to enter upon and search anything that isn't inside four walls. This includes patios and verandas, four walls are the specified property. That is unless the property owner meets the officer at the entrance and informs them that it is a "controled gathering', that is, you know everyone there. In this case they aren't aloud past your letter box without a warrant.

If it's underage then their capacity to contract would probably be used against you. Under 18s usually can't be held to contracts.

Second if the cops roll round, and have a warrant or probable cause to search a premises, and your doorman tries to stop them... then ouch, you both better get used to being fucked in the ass.

The contract is illegal and unenforceable because underage drinking is against public policy and forbidden by statute.

What if the contract said that "you will not do anything illegal during this party. You will also not attempt to hold anyone responsible for anything here"

Everyone who attends the party already has a duty to "not do anything illegal" there.

Yea this really doesnt work at all and I think the only reason that you believe it would work is becasue it is a simple and non-serious offense (Underage drinking/drug useage).

Just replace that with I will not testify that I saw people get brutally murdered in this house even if they signed that it doesnt mean shizit in the eyes of law.
